According to a 2006 demographic study of Immanuel's neighborhood, within the geographic area bordered by I-25 on the west, I-40 on the north, Gibson on the south and San Mateo on the east:
• There are approximately 20,000 households with a population of 43,000 people. This will increase by approximately 5.5 % in the next five years.
• The median age of this population is 36. 33% are under age 25. 45% are between the ages of 25 and 54. 4,336 of the households include children under the age of 18 years old.
• Of persons over the age of 15, 39% are single (never married), 22% are divorced or widowed, and 39% are married.
• Approximately 9,200 of the people are enrolled in College. 6,600 of the adults have completed college and an additional 5,500 have post-graduate degrees. 1,817 of the population live in college dorms.
• Approximately 5,000 of the people are Hispanic/Latino by origin.
• Of the working women (age 15 and over) in the population, 759 have children at home (birth - 5 years old) and 1,311 have children in school (age 6-17). Of the women not in the labor force, 527 have children at home (birth - 5 years old) and 300 have children in school (age 6-17).
• The average household income is $46,500.
